Obesity has grown into epidemic proportions. The irony of the fact is that this negative trend is at least in part the result of the positive trend of increasing appreciation of good food. With restaurants and fast food joints offering delicacies round the clock and many people having the means to afford it, lots of people choose to eat well without bothering about its long term consequences. It is high time that we reversed the trend and took proper care of our nutrition requirements and not let ourselves bulge in a way as to let our tummies enter a room before we can put our feet into it.
Satisfaction of the palate seems to have become a supreme concern for people. While there is no harm in enjoying food, you have to remember that food is primarily meant to give us the energy that the body requires. It is like fuel that is meant to be burned up.
