Understanding Omega-3s and the New Rules of Nutrition

It wasn’t very long ago that fat in foods was the real enemy. Nutritionists railed against it and dieters fled from the sight of it. But was that bit of fat in your milk or pork chop the real culprit? It actually was not long after that sugars and carbohydrates were found to be just as dangerous in terms of body weight, regardless of their fat content. Somewhere along the way, nutritionists learned about ‘good’ fats and what they might actually do for your body. It wasn’t necessarily fat, but how the fat helped or hindered your heart and overall health.

If you asked the Native population of Alaska whether or not salmon and other types of fatty fish were good for you, they might break out laughing. In their case, no analysis was necessary, as salmon has been a major part of healthy diets for centuries. However, since we all prefer for scientists to stand behind reports and feel more confident in the results of such studies, reports which praised the high quality fat content of salmon have opened up a whole new side of nutrition information.

Natural Aids For Your Diabetes

As I stated in a previous article, I have recently been online with a view to finding natural alternatives for controlling my diabetes. The number and type of ads I saw were seemingly limitless. Many offer a ‘cure’, and cite numerous ‘testimonials’ in support of their claims, but offer little by the way of documented studies into the product offered. Personally, I am not inclined to give much credence to these products. There are, however, a number of natural substances that have been studied. Below are just a few of them.

Please! Never take any form of treatment, natural or otherwise, without being under the supervision of a qualified professional. And I do mean your doctor. Many natural aids to the diabetic person are researched, but can pose a threat if taken in too large a dose, or in conjunction with other supplements and/or prescription drugs.

Use of Foundation in Makeup

Selection of Foundation
Here we are going to tell you the most appropriate way to select a foundation which suits your skin. Pick up two or three foundations which you think will look similar to your skin tone apply them on your jaw bone to confirm your choice, leave the face for a while then check if the shade you have chosen harmonizes with your skin texture and it does not stand out from the skin color on the neck, the foundations remains invisible after the test, it means you have selected the best foundation and you can now start applying the cosmetic on the whole face. Remember that even the most experienced makeup artists feels it difficult to chose a right shade for your skin because the skin color is not identical in all parts of the face. You can notice yourself the differences between the shade of cheek and the color of the skin on the forehead or the neck.

Now I suggest the way to tell you how to apply foundation on your face correctly. Liquid foundations should be smudged gently while compact foundations with a thicker consistency should be applied by pressing the sponge against the skin while you are applying cosmetic on your skin, just pay attention to soft light hair on the skin because most often the excess of the product will accumulate here. This will create a darker contour around the face which results in an unattractive look.
